POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS & VISUALIZATION (P)

STOP HERE AND NOW!!! I AM NOT ADVOCATING THE END OF PRAYER OR THE LACK OF ITS' IMPORTANCE... I'M LIVING PROOF THAT PRAYER IS NOT ONLY NECESSARY, BUT VERY EFFECTIVE...

It was a mere 23 years this September that I broke my neck in an act of utter stupidity... I know full well that without the prayers of many people, I wouldn't be posting this blog today, I would be pushing up daisy's... What I am saying, is that even God can use a little help every once in a while, after all, next Sunday is "FATHERS" day...

(L) and I were fortunate to have been raised by a mother that for a lack of a better analogy, was ahead of her time... She taught us not only to be Christians, but that the human mind and (may I rot in hell if this next statement is associated with Socialism or Communism)

the "collective conscience of man" are powerful tools that should be used in conjunction with prayer...

Exactly what do I mean by the term "Positive Affirmation"... Before I was in a wheelchair, I was a runner... I started out as a 30 year old that was freaking out about the prospects of not only being one of "those" that I was taught by society (being a child of the sixties) could not be trusted, but that my metabolism was about to change and I was going to balloon to proportions that weren't recognisable... I soon got involved in competitive racing and was training on a daily basis... I was over at my mother's house and mentioned the fact that I was training more than ever, but wasn't getting the results I thought I should... She grabbed a piece of paper and a pen and wrote these words I am a smooth and efficient runner, I waste no energy that doesn't contribute to my goal, I will run as if the wind is always at my back... You may take this as you please, but shortly after starting to repeat this affirmation while I trained and while I raced, I started winning races in my age group and was voted that year by the Ft. Myers Track Club to be "Most Improved Runner of the Year"...

Have you ever seen an athlete such as a "high jumper" standing there just prior to performing in their event with their eyes closed and literally going over in their mind exactly what they wish to do, visualizing themselves clearing the bar... You can't achieve what first you don't visualize or dream about...

Where was I going with this?

I want to challenge you to the following... Pick one or more of the following (feel free to make your own) affirmations and write it down... Once, twice, twenty times a day pull out that paper and read out loud, with conviction the ones you have chosen... Over and over again in your minds eye, see this coming to fruition... This will help you to feel that you are doing more than just screaming at the television... Again, this does not replace or circumvent your prayers... Please pray for our troops in harms way and our country, as we need them now more than ever to be answered...

  1. We will take back our country...

  2. The Constitution will be restored...

  3. Honor will be restored in our government and country...

  4. We will reduce the size of the federal government...

  5. We will repeal the healthcare bill...

  6. Out of control spending will be stopped...

  7. The deficit will be reduced...

  8. Taxes will be reduced...

  9. Private sector jobs will increase while government jobs will be reduced...

  10. The progressive movement will be crushed and exposed for what they truly are...

  11. Unions and their thugs will be destroyed...

  12. Capitalism and the free market will flourish...

The next thing is to start visualizing things that you want to see happen...

  1. See in your mind your favorite candidate (hate the word politician) giving his or her victory speach...

  2. See Harry Reid, Barbara Boxer and others packing up their belongings from their offices in Washington

  3. See Barack Obama denouncing socialism... (OK, that's a little far fetched, perhaps just putting on his big boy britches and stop blaming Bush for everything)

  4. See Nancy Pelosi handing over her gavel to the new speaker of the house...

  5. See unemployment becoming nonexistant...

  6. See oil wells in Anwr...

  7. Please see the prestine gulf coast beaches being restored...

  8. See the restoration of God in our schools and lives...

  9. See Faith - Hope - Charity...

  10. See our founding fathers looking down at us with huge smiles on their faces in lieu of disbelief in what we've allowed this great country to become...

  11. See crippling sanctions being imposed on Iran...

  12. See me blogging on something like Beer, because conservative blogs are not needed any longer...

We really do need to refocus, and look forward with an eye of faith, to the day when sanity will return to America.

  4. Trestin & TCL...

Thanks for stopping by... I can't prove that this works, but like TCL said, it just feels good doing it and thinking about positive change as opposed to just complaining about the mess we're in...
