S.W. FLORIDA 9/12 PROJECT RALLY (P)

It was not Chamber of Commerce weather yesterday in Cape Coral as members of the S.W. Florida 9/12 Project lined the corner of Santa Barbara and Veterans for the one year anniversary T.E.A. Party rally, but I would like to thank the the members who braved the elements to show their conviction to the cause...

I have absolutely no idea who the long haired guy in the wheelchair is, but the "What Ever Happened To We The People" guy is the infamous (L) of The Born Again Americans... It is rumored that the flip side of "SIZE MATTERS" said "SMALLER GOVERNMENT"...

I'M BAAAAAAAAAACK (P)

Just when you thought we'd seen the last of this Communist jerk...
According to FOXNews.com, it seems as if Van Jones is making a come back... (as if he was ever really gone) Am I the only one who thinks that this guy should be railroaded out of Washington and anything that could possibly shape the future of The United States of America? This man is a danger to society... There are plenty of black conservatives, so I know that it is not merely his ethnic background that makes him so anti American... He along with our president have an axe to grind with the American people as they try to force their agenda on the rest of us... Obama and the progressives agenda pale in comparison to what Van Jones wants for our country...

Wake up America, this man is EVIL...

Van Jones Returns to Spotlight With Posts at Princeton, Think Tank

FOXNews.com

After a nearly six-month hiatus out of the public eye following his resignation from the White House last September, Van Jones has been appointed as a fellow with Princeton University and with the Center for American Progress, a liberal think tank.
Van Jones is back.
After a nearly six-month hiatus out of the public eye following his resignation from the White House last September, Jones has been appointed to posts at Princeton University and with the Center for American Progress, a liberal think tank in Washington, D.C.
The controversial former green jobs adviser is also receiving an award from the NAACP Friday and plans to attend a forum on jobs creation with Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., next month in New York City.
The sudden flurry of activity appears to mark the end of Jones' retreat from public life after a short stint as adviser to the White House Council on Environmental Quality. He resigned under pressure in early September due to mounting criticism over controversial remarks and positions, including his calling Republicans "assholes," making racially charged statements and signing a petition in 2004 supporting the "9/11 truther" movement, which believes the Bush administration may have been involved in the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks. The petition was the breaking point, and his resignation came shortly afterward.

But Jones, in an interview with The Washington Post, defended himself against the withering attacks he endured last year and distanced himself from the "truthers." Jones said he believes Al Qaeda and Usama bin Laden, and "nobody else," were behind the Sept. 11 attacks. He said his name showed up on the petition because he expressed verbal support for a group that came up to him six years ago and said they represented "911 families" without realizing what they represented.
"Unfortunately, I didn't know what their agenda was," Jones said. "So then they went and added my name, without my knowledge, to this awful, abhorrent language they had on their Web site."
911Truth.org has disputed this explanation. 911Truth.org spokesman Mike Berger said last fall that Jones "did agree with that statement and he did sign on to it."
But Jones told The Washington Post that he made a "big mistake" in not doing his "homework" on the organization before offering "support of any kind."
He said he doesn't have "any bitterness or anger" about his past.
Princeton University announced Wednesday that Jones has been appointed as a visiting fellow at the Center for African American Studies and at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs' program in Science, Technology and Environmental Policy. During the one-year appointment, Jones will teach a spring course on "environmental politics."
In a statement put out by Princeton University, Jones said he looks forward to using his term at the Ivy League university to explore "green solutions" to help America's economy.
"We're looking forward to a year of intense engagement with Van," Eddie Glaude, chairman of the Center for African American Studies, said in a statement.
The Center for American Progress announced Wednesday that Jones would be a senior fellow and leader with its Green Opportunity Initiative.
CEO John Podesta called Jones a "pioneer" in the movement to create a clean energy economy.
Before Jones ran into the wall of controversy last year, he was considered somewhat of a wunderkind in environmental circles.
In addition to writing "The Green Collar Economy," he has co-founded and worked with several groups dedicated to helping low-income and minority communities -- often through green jobs and better environmental policy. He got his start as a San Francisco-area activist, and in 2009 was named as one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people.
But some of his past comments had given critics pause about his fitness for a White House-level office, pointing to his radical activities a decade ago as well as more recent controversial stances.
Jones was a self-described "communist" during the 1990s and previously worked with a group dedicated to Marxist and Leninist philosophies. His comments, even in recent years, were often racially charged. He's blamed "white polluters and white environmentalists" for "steering poison" to minority communities. In 2005, he drew a distinction between white and black youths involved in shooting incidents by referencing the 1999 Columbine High School massacre.
"You've never seen a Columbine done by a black child. Never," Jones said. "They always say, 'We can't believe it happened here. We can't believe it's these suburban white kids.' It's only them!" he said. "Now, a black kid might shoot another black kid. He's not going to shoot up the whole school."
Such statements did not draw widespread attention until after a February video surfaced showing him calling Republicans "assholes" during an address in Berkeley, Calif. Jones apologized, but faced down his past again when it was discovered that he signed the 2004 "truther" petition.
Now that he's returning to prominent positions, several high-profile organizations are backing him up.
Benjamin Todd Jealous, president and CEO of the NAACP, called Jones an "American treasure" in an online opinion piece. The NAACP plans to honor Jones with an Image Award Friday.

GREAT IDEA (P)

The attached photo is of a billboard recently established on I-75 just south of Lake City. A group gathered there today to celebrate its unveiling. The cost
of 10 months rental of the billboard and doing the artwork was $6500. We feel that is a reasonable cost to reach out to 1,000,000 vehicles per month
and perhaps motivate their participation in the electoral process to get our country on a sound footing.

Bull Sh-t Answer From Senator Bill Nelson (L)

This is the BS answer I got today from the letter I sent over three weeks ago to all of the Democratic Senators if they tried to take Obamacare "Nuclear" through reconciliation!

Dear Mr. (L)

Thank you for contacting me about health care reform. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act passed the Senate on December 24, 2009. I spent countless hour studying the various health care proposals before Congress and their impact on Floridians, and after much consideration I voted for the bill. I hope that Congress will continue to work on crafting legislation that can get through both chambers, and I welcome the opportunity to work in a bipartisan manner.

The Senate bill has many good elements. It would allow those who are happy with their insurance to keep what they have got, including veterans and seniors on Medicare. It stops insurance companies from dropping people when they get sick or denying coverage of pre-existing conditions, and creates State-based exchanges where folks without coverage can find it at an affordable price. Additionally, it contains several measures aimed at reducing overall medical and prescription drug costs and eliminating waste and fraud in the system. The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has estimated that the bill as passed by the Senate will reduce the Federal budget by $130 billion over ten years and $1.3 trillion in the following ten years.

Among the improvements I fought for is a provision that will preserve benefits for an estimated 800,000 Medicare Advantage enrollees in Florida, and another provision that will protect tax benefits for seniors who have high medical expenses.

I also introduced an amendment that would force pharmaceutical companies to give rebates to the Federal government for certain drugs purchased under the Medicare Part D program. These rebates would close the coverage gap in Part D known as the donut hole and save the government billions of dollars. I was disappointed that this amendment was not included, but I made clear that when a final version of the bill is negotiated, I expect there to be a mechanism for closing the donut hole for seniors.

Although we may disagree on some of the specifics of the bill, I think most Americans feel that the system we have now can be unfair and too costly. This bill contains a number of reforms that are necessary if we are to have any chance at expanding access to health care while reducing the cost over the long term.

I appreciate hearing from you on this very important issue; the opinions of Floridians are central to my decision-making process. Please don't hesitate to contact me in the future.

Sincerely,
Senator Bill Nelson

Please go back and read my post from 1/24/2010 "An Open Letter To All Democratic Senators" (L) and tell me if anyone thinks this BOZO read a damn word I said!

This is the kind of crap that as Glenn would say, "Makes Blood Shoot Out Of My Eyes!" First of all why did it take him (them) almost a month to respond and not address one issue from my letter! Do they really think that we are so stupid we can't see through their BS! We need to send him and the rest of the BOZOS packing ASAP!

MARCO RUBIO & THE MOUNT VERNON STATEMENT (P)

I'd like to give a big HAT TIP to my good friend Bill in North Carolina for forwarding me the link to this great article by Kathryn Lopez... There is an extremely bright star on the Conservative horizon and his name is Marco Rubio...

I recently joined former Attorney General Ed Meese and a number of leaders of conservative think tanks and other groups in signing the Mount Vernon Statement. When I watched the press coverage that evening, I saw the event through the media's prism: a bunch of white guys reaffirming what some dead white guys said. Never mind that all types of people were in the room. Never mind that thousands had signed the conservative declaration online, overnight. Never mind that the Mount Vernon Statement was a reaffirmation, not just of constitutional values, but also of a tendency in the very air of the country right now. It's a mood that has inspired tea parties and sold books like Mark Levin's "Liberty and Tyranny." There's a sense -- and not just among trusted Reagan Cabinet secretaries -- that we may be on the brink of losing something integral to America.

This sense was palpable at an annual gathering of conservatives the next day. The Conservative Political Action Conference had not been underway in Washington, D.C., for an hour when Marco Rubio, the son of Cuban refugees, took the stage and blew away the older-white-guy lie. Rubio, who is running for U.S. Senate in Florida, is challenging the current Republican governor of that state for the seat. Rubio gets across by talking with a sense of urgency about what America could be on the verge of forfeiting. His words could have been ripped from the Mount Vernon Statement, which in a very fundamental way simply reaffirmed constitutional principles.

The statement reads, in part: "We recommit ourselves to the ideas of the American Founding. Through the Constitution, the Founders created an enduring framework of limited government based on the rule of law. They sought to secure national independence, provide for economic opportunity, establish true religious liberty and maintain a flourishing society of republican self-government. ... Each one of these founding ideas is presently under sustained attack. In recent decades, America's principles have been undermined and redefined in our culture, our universities and our politics. The self-evident truths of 1776 have been supplanted by the notion that no such truths exist. The federal government today ignores the limits of the Constitution, which is increasingly dismissed as obsolete and irrelevant."

I suspect Marco Rubio hadn't time to read the statement before he took the stage, but he didn't need to. He has read the country's founding documents and he knows how they have helped make America great. He also looks around, and sees -- in his own state and elsewhere -- politicians and elected officials slouching toward something different: a push toward statism. Out with the flourishing of freedom, in with a behemoth of a welfare state. And Rubio doesn't like it, because he knows history and he knows how harmful that instinct has been. He knows, further, that the American identity leans toward and hungers for something else. Which is why he referred, in his CPAC speech, to the upcoming congressional elections as being about our "identity" as a nation. He was received as a rock star at the conference -- if I had a dollar for everyone who told me they got to shake his hand, I would be retiring at my young age -- not because he's a fresh new face, but because what he says rings true. It rings true to Americans who believe that there is something special about this country that, as Rubio puts it, keeps boatloads wanting to be a part of it.

In his speech to the same gathering, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney put it this way: "Ours is the creed of the pioneers, the innovators, the strivers who expect no guarantee of success, but ask only to live and work in freedom. This creed is under assault in Washington today. Liberals are convinced that government knows better than the people how to run our businesses, how to choose winning technologies, how to manage health care, how to grow an economy, and how to order our very lives. They want to gain through government takeover what they could never achieve in the competitive economy -- power and control over the people of America. If these liberal neo-monarchists succeed, they will kill the very spirit that has built the nation -- the innovating, inventing, creating, independent current that runs from coast to coast."

Those are not Republican values, Mormon values or white-millionaire values. They are rooted in a much deeper national consensus. They're the values that got Scott Brown elected in a state not known to be a bastion of Republican voters. They're the values upon which we were founded. They're the values that are sparking a renewal of civic engagement around the country. They're the values that are inspiring men and women to ask themselves what they can do -- even beyond raising the next generation to believe these things are worth respecting and fighting for to ensure that they exist beyond their own lifetimes. And, yes, they're values that even some white guys who worked in the Reagan administration love. And thank goodness for what they've done to help preserve them, here and around the world. With gratitude I join them, and I'm not alone.

HAVING TEA WITH MICHAEL STEELE (P)

I'm a very proud member the S.W. Florida 9/12 Project and recently some of our esteem members attended the conference in Washington between the "Tea Party" movement and Michael Steele the head of the RNC... The following is an email that the three attendees so graciously shared with the rest of our group and I wish to share with you...

Dear Friends,

As many of you know, Cheryl, Terri and I went to the grassroots private meeting with Michael Steele last evening. We understand there is some controversy within the various conservative groups surrounding this meeting. Some are saying we shouldn't be taking a seat before what could be considered a “part of the problem”. We felt strongly that without having a face to face with party leaders we would be effectively shutting down the most important part of the process: that of allowing our group’s voice to be heard to the powers that be.

Over the course of the next few days, we will be explaining what happened here in detail, but first we wanted to give an overview of the takeaways from this meeting and address the concerns and the news.

We believe that to be effective leaders for the group, one of our main responsibilities is to take advantage of any opportunity to be heard by the leaders of every political avenue available. We believe that to be fully aware of someone’s intentions, it is best and most direct to simply ask them. We were very direct as a group last night to ask the RNC Party Chairman if his intentions were to co-opt the various groups and if the GOP’s intention was to fold on Healthcare Reform. We were very pleased by his answers on these questions and many others.

Overall, this was a fantastic meeting. Not only because of what Michael Steele said to us, but more than that, how much he listened to what we had to say. I mean really listened. We were slated to be there for one hour, we were in that meeting for going on 3.5 hours. That was quite a telling statement to us. The RNC is getting that it is high time they sat and listened, took it on the chin and heard what the groups that were represented wanted from our various leaders. It is important to note – we were not there representing the “movement”, we were there representing our group.

Mr. Steele made three key points to us:

1) Maintain the energy in our groups, amp it up where possible. We are having an earth shattering effect on Washington in general and the DNC/Progressives and their state-run media in particular. In fact, he stated it was nothing short of the effect that the founders had in the first revolution.

2) He made the very strongly stated point that WE are the answer to this country’s problems, not those in various offices or in party leadership. The RNC is looking to us for their marching orders, not the other way around. We are shattering the standards. We are the voters. We are acting in a way that old established Washington has no idea how to handle, understands it is way bigger then they, and has a sense of fear they will lose this particular war and he is glad to see us doing just that. Old establishment doesn’t know how to poll it, play it, combat it, and they don’t know what to do with it. The old standards aren’t working anymore and we need to keep that up. We learned that Michael Steele originated from DC and is a grassroots based individual whose goal is to shake up party establishment and return to a bottom up organization.

3) Get out the vote and run them if you’ve got them.

He also taught us the roles of the parties versus the roles of the RNC and the DNC, versus the candidates, the elected, and the people. It was very interesting and will be the next topic we go over on Friday. This is something we did not understand and we don’t believe many people do understand, yet it is very important for us to understand.

We made many points to him, which we will go over in detail in the coming days. The main ones were:

We do not desire to be co-opted. He answered very clearly that is not a threat at all. What we are hearing is spin and word twisting from left based media and the democrats, not the RNC.
We do not feel he is stating his message clearly at all. He is confusing the issues by what he says versus what he stated he feels personally to us last night, namely that he is one of us and not of “old party” which makes him the odd man out in Washington. We responded directly to that statement, then rid yourself of the “politi-speak” and make your messages very clear, direct, exact, because we aren’t getting your message.
Part two of that same question was that the ground game for conservatives is not there. We don’t hear the message as conservatives and if we aren’t hearing it, many voters not yet immersed in the movement aren’t hearing it or seeing it either. He stated that this will change within the next few weeks. There is an entire bottom up program being finalized now that the RNC will run with to provide us with avenues to utilize.
We stated we are VERY concerned about the Blair House meeting and we want a definitive answer on what their response will be. They aren’t strategizing and we require a strategy. He wrote that down and stated he would talk to minority leaders to encourage them to consider their alternatives and game plans.
We don’t want “the party of no” label. We want “the party of HELL NO!” label.
We voiced quite a few concerns about local issues, and he directed us to involvement with our local government, the NC’s and our voice there. We are already doing that as a group, but we need to step up even further. Our plans should be training and raising up leaders as well as strong involvement in local government and the political avenues available to us. Additionally he was very encouraging about the precinct involvement and explained where his duties lies in the scheme of things.

In closing there were so many interesting points made, things we didn’t understand but better understand now, things that he didn’t understand but has a better understanding now. Those we will save for future editions of this open dialogue. What Mr. Steele meant by “Republican’s aren’t ready to win”, among other key questions we have had, were explained in depth and made great sense, however he did agree that he is not being clear enough. The key issue I raised was grassroots doesn’t speak politispeak, he needs to be very clear when he makes these statements and his communication lacks substance. He agreed that he was not clarifying his thoughts enough. This is going to hopefully be the beginning of an ongoing dialogue. We are very encouraged and excited by the outcomes last night. The RNC from Mr. Steele’s perspective is that they are willing to do what WE need THEM to do within the perimeters of their role in politics and the political process. They hear us, and they do fear us.

When we ended our after meeting dinner meeting the group leaders agreed that our motto is “Independent but Together”.

Next edition will cover the role of the NC’s in politics. What we can expect from them as the election moves forward and what is not within their charter to do.

Thanks.

GUESS WHO TURNS ONE TODAY (P)

DID YOU GUESS THE $787,000,000,000.00 BUNDLE OF JOY KNOWN AS THE STIMULUS PACKAGE?

That's right, hard to believe that just one year ago we were on the brink of 7.6% unemployment... Thank God & Obama (though some think they are one in the same) they were able to implement this wonderful bundle of stimulus and now unemployment is at 9.7% after being as high as 10%... Can you even imagine where these numbers would be if this incredible spending plan hadn't been shoved down our throats, I mean come to the rescue... The truly amazing part of this is that Obama has only spent 1/3 of the money... Doing the math, we can expect unemployment to be around 14% by the time he spends all the money... What do you mean, isn't the bigger the number the better? Oh, so the more money spent, the smaller the number should be... Well golly gee whiz, then what that nice man Mr. Biden has been saying about how great this little bundle of spending has been must be a big ole fib...

It seems to me this one year old stimulus plan and a one year old child have allot in common...
  1. Neither of them work...
  2. They can't feed themselves...
  3. They both S**T themselves on a regular basis...
  4. The government wants to control both of them...
  5. If left alone they both would probably die...

The differences between the two are...

  1. Eventually the child will grow up and work...
  2. The child will learn to feed itself...
  3. The child will become potty trained...
  4. The stimulus package will never be under control...
  5. The debt from the stimulus plan will never die...

Happy Birthday Stimulus, (I'm going to catch allot of flack from this statement) you give credence to the argument over late term abortion...

BAMOPOLY (P)

The object of the game is to destroy American capitalism by having the government take over everything!

Wanna Play?
No?!
Too bad, you're already playing...

If this wasn't true, it might be reasn to laugh... We better get this S.O.B. out of office while there still is a country known as The United States of America...

ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENT, ENOUGH SAID! (P)

This is John Brennan "Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counter-terrorism...

This is the man that bungled the handling of Umar Farouk Abdulmatallub, AKA, The Christmas Day Bomber... Is it any wonder that this same man says that 20% of Guantanamo detainees returning to some form of terrorist activity is an acceptable rate stating that the American prison system has a 50% rate of repeat offenders, (don't even get me started on pedophiles and sexual predators) but your basic car thief isn't trying to murder thousands of innocent Americans...

It is absolutely ludicrous to think that we can treat these terrorists as anything but enemy combatants...

The thought of giving these people the same rights as American citizens defies logic and is a slap in the face to every service man and woman currently in harms way trying to prevent future attacks, along with the FBI, CIA and every other law enforcement agency in this country... These terrorist should be held as enemy combatants, (for as long as this war on terror continues) face military tribunals to assure a fair trial and then be promptly executed... (who says you can't learn anything from watching old westerns)

Representative Pete Hoekstra of Michigan the House Intelligence Committee's ranking Republican along with Senators Mitch McConnel and Kit Bond as well as Representative John Boehner all say that they were told that the FBI was going to handle Abdulmatallub, but not that he was going to be Mirandized... Brennan was on "Meet the Press" saying that they should have known that this would mean Abdulmatallub would be Mirandized... Bond has been reported to say I would have told Brennan "the administration is making a mistake"...

Here's my take on this...

Our Commander-N-Chief is not capable of taking control of the situation... We are at war and he refuses to get tough with our enemies... Al-Qaeda and Radical Islam want you and me DEAD... This war will not be won by talking to them, we must take this threat at face value... The same effort put forth by this administration to strip us of our constitutional rights should be focused on protecting us from our enemies of different origins... Even Marxism can't thrive under Sharia Law, so if your dream of "Fundamentally Transforming America" doesn't include Michele wearing a burka, you better get your act together and fight the battle for our very existence...

F.U.C.K. ---------- I.T. (P)

Finally Understanding Conservative Knowledge ----------- It's Time...

I've been thinking (wonders never cease) lately exactly what it will take to get the left wing loonies to see the light? The more I ponder the dilemma, the more I realise that we're pissing into the wind... That's why I think we should prepare to take back our country by actions as opposed to rhetoric... I'll be the first to say that I'm guilty as charged when it comes to living beyond my means... For those that aren't aware of my personal situation, I'm a quadriplegic... I was just shy of my thirty seventh birthday when I dove off a boat (stupid is as stupid does) damaging my spinal cord... I never figured I'd live this long, I'll be sixty my next birthday and it appears as if I might have many more years on this planet... In hind sight, I probably should have planned a little better...

Does this scenario sound familiar? We have an administration and congress that are spending as if they don't think they will be around much longer... (hopefully they won't) Their ill conceived notions of spending our way out of this recession while increasing government ranks right up there with diving into unknown water... (actually we know that the water is too shallow) The correction of this course needs to start at the individual level... This may sound foolish, but instead of trickle down economics, how about trickle up responsibility? If each and every one of us take it upon ourselves to practice the conservative values that made this country the greatest nation on the face of the earth, we will prevail... I'm firmly convinced that the road to recovery is going to be rough to say the least, but it is imperative that we start the healing process...

IS NOTHING SACRED? (P)

This article came directly off FOXNEWS.COM it seems that the left has even infiltrated comic books...

I will plead the 5th on this, as I haven't read a handful of comics in my entire life, but come on! From the looks of this, I guess this isn't your basic "Archie" or "Bugs Bunny" that I think of when the words "comic book" are used... Who exactly reads this stuff? (didn't use trash as I don't wish to offend) Is this where Robert Gibbs and Janeane Gorafalo get all their misinformation regarding the "Tea Party" movement?

A "tea bag" reference in a recent Captain America comic book that has angered the Tea Party
movement will be removed by Marvel Comics in future editions, the story's writer told
FoxNews.com.

In issue No. 602 of Captain America, "Two Americas, Part One," the title hero and The Falcon, a black superhero from New York City, stumble upon a protest rally in Boise, Idaho. They see scores of protesters carrying signs that say "Stop the Socialists!" and "Tea Bag The Libs Before They Tea Bag YOU!"

Captain America says the protest appears to be an "anti-tax thing," and The Falcon jokes that he likely would not be welcomed into the crowd of "angry white folks."

Ed Brubaker, who wrote the story, told FoxNews.com he did not write the "Tea Bag The Libs Before They Tea Bag YOU!" sign shown in the edition, insisting that the words were added by someone in "lettering or production" just before being shipped to the printer. It will be changed in subsequent editions, he said.

"I don't know who did it, probably someone who thought it was funny," Brubaker wrote in an e-mail. "I didn't think so, personally. That's the sign being changed to something more generic for the trade reprint, because I and my editor were both shocked to see it."

But the change may come too late to placate a chorus of critics who noticed the apparent jab at the Tea Party movement and who accused Marvel of making supervillains out of patriotic Americans.

Michael Johns, a board member of the Nationwide Tea Party Coalition, said he felt the "juvenile" dig will ultimately do more damage to Marvel's brand than to the Tea Party movement. He also disputed the insinuation that the growing movement lacks diversity.

"The Tea Party movement has been very reflective of broad concerns of all Americans," Johns said. "Membership is across ethnic, religious and even political lines."

Johns accused Brubaker of "blame-shifting" and questioned why an apology or retraction hadn't been issued as soon as the writer or Marvel executives noticed the politically charged signs.

Brubaker, meanwhile, has made no secret of his political leanings.

He said he wrote the script "four or five" months ago, which was shortly before he posted critical messages on his Twitter account regarding former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann and former President George W. Bush.

"Memo to Bachman and the rest of the tea crowd -- We had a revolution already, it's called an election," Brubaker tweeted on Nov. 5.

Nine days later, he wrote: "What did we learn this week? That Sarah Palin is a lying idiot. Hey, welcome to 2008 again."

But Brubaker was adamant that he did not intend to imply that the group of protesters in the comic book were Tea Partiers.

"I was simply using them to show the mood in the country in various places outside Captain America and the Falcon's usual home, New York City," he wrote. "It's very similar to other things we've done in the comic, showing leftwing protest crowds back during the election season in 2008."

A spokeswoman for Marvel Comics did not respond to repeated requests for comment.

Herb London, president of the Hudson Institute, a think tank based in Washington, said the protest scene in the comic book is merely the latest attempt in a "systematic effort" to chastise the grassroots Tea Party movement.

"I was perplexed by this," London said. "It seems to me there was a clear effort on someone's part to undermine the Tea Party movement."

London said the comic strip insinuates the protesters are "loonies," and he questioned The Falcon's reference to race.
"It involves sensitivities," London said. "There's no reason for something like that to be included."

I'M BACK (P)

I was just too busy to blog... This whole having to work for a living thing, I think I'll just let the government take care of me for a while...

If you've ever read this blog, you know that's never going to happen... I hope I haven't lost anyone, thanks for your patience...

SHOULD THIS MAN BE THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES? (P)

Please read some of the excerpts taken from Barack Hussein Obama's books and ask yourself the question in the Title of this post...
.
From Dreams of My Father: 'I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.'

From Dreams of My Father : 'I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race.'

From Dreams of My Father: 'There was something about her that made me wary, a little too sure of herself, maybe and white..

From Dreams of My Father: 'It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.'

From Dreams of My Father: 'I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the black man, son of Africa, that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself: the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela.'

And FINALLY, and most scary!

From Audacity of Hope: 'I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.

So again I ask you, should this man be the president of The United States of America?

JIMMY BUFFET SINGS THEIR PRAISES (P)

video

This says it all...

What else would you expect from the man who brought you such classics as

"Why Don't We Get Drunk and Screw"

"A Pirate Looks at Forty"

"Growing Older but Not Up"

"If The Phone Doesn't Ring It's Me"

I know he's not a real strong conservative, but you have to admire someone who has used capitalism and the American dream to make millions, while putting a smile on your face...

THIS SUMS UP THE PROBLEM IN VERY FEW WORDS (P)

“The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.”
